Our body is alive and as such it has a bio-electric function; the basics of physics explain that around every passage of current, a magnetic field is generated, therefore for physics, even around our body or the body of any living being, there is a magnetic or energy field . In parapsychology and spirituality, this energy field is called Aura and is the same magnetic field that physics speaks of.
The word chakra, in Sanskrit, means "wheel" , and is used to represent the energy centers of our body, which have the task of receiving and distributing our vital energy. Color is energetic vibration and affects our physical, mental and emotional body .
What relationship then exists, between chakras and colors?
According to Ayurvedic medicine, the five elements combine to form the matter of the body and are also at the origin of the power associated with the seven colors of the rainbow , which they can act in restoring the balance of energy centers. The energy of colors acts on the chakras at the level of clothes worn, food ingested and presence in the environment in which we live. Learning to know them and to use them helps us to find again our psycho-physical harmony. The symbolism of colors is defined on the basis of the natural frequency that everything in the Universe has: a relationship is established between the light that penetrates it and the senses that perceive it; this is why there is a specific correspondence between the energy centers, or chakras, and colors. Let's see it together:
The 1st chakra, muladhara or "root chakra" is located in the lower part of the pelvis, and its color is red. In fact, it represents psychic stability in the various situations of life, the ability to govern instincts; it is the chakra with which the energies of the Earth are absorbed.
The 2nd chakra, svadhistana or "splenic chakra" , is located in the lower part of the belly and its color is orange: it configures the pleasure, the joie de vivre, the energy expressed to its full potential.
The 3rd chakra: manipura or "solar plexus chakra" , is positioned in the upper half of the belly and identified by the yellow color: it is the ability to act and react with energy, it is the will , self-esteem and personal autonomy.
The 4th chakra, anahata or "heart chakra" is located in the pectoral area of the body and radiates the green color: it is the ability to love emotionally, that is, to feel a feeling that does not leave much from the mind, as much as from the heart.
The 5th chakra, vishuddha or "throat chakra" is in the lower half of the neck, light blue in color: it is creativity, communication, strong aesthetic perception. In a spiritual sense, in fact, it represents the connection with the elsewhere, being in communication with dimensions that go beyond the human.
The 6th chakra, adjnia or "third eye chakra" is the large chakra which is located in the center of the forehead, indigo-colored: it is the tactical, rational mind. In a spiritual sense it is the third eye, it is self-confidence, the connection with one's self.
The 7th chakra, sahasrara or "crown chakra" is finally placed above the skull, illuminated in purple: it is the marked ability to think strategically, that is to embrace and welcome the situation with thinking.
As we learn to open and balance the chakras, we become the Rainbow Bridge, the living link between Earth and Heaven. Harmony with ourselves and with the surrounding world passes through colors: the color we choose every day is one of the first sources of our energy!
